Book Tasting Event
World Book Day is an important day for our young children. It is a celebration of a love of books and promotes reading for pleasure.
To mark World Book Day 2023, we hosted a ‘ Book Tasting’ event. Our classroom was set up as a ‘Reading Cafe,’ full of exciting books and activities. The children looked at different genres, rated books, picked their ‘Starbook’ and much much more!
In line with being an ECO School, we participated in an ECO book swap. The children brought in pre loved books to donate to our ECO library and then every child browsed the library and got to take a new book home to read.
